"The Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) was created
in 1986 to identify those individuals who have met established standards
for competent EAP practice and who adhere to a professional code of conduct
designed to ensure the highest standards in the delivery of employee assistance
services. The credential is now recognized as the standard in employee
assistance." EAPA
Experienced
There are many professionals who provide EAP services but are not certified to do so. Both of the Center’s principals are CEAP’s and are among only a select few locally. Certification as an Employee Assistance Professional assures an organization that the clinician has been educated, trained and tested in all of the core technologies of an EAP. Additionally, CEAP’s must adhere to the standards set by Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA), their certifying association, and must complete extensive and on-going, annual continuing education courses.
Local
The Center offers the unique advantage of being a locally based EAP. As the principals are long-term EAP professionals and residents of Sarasota County, they have established numerous close-working relationships with quality providers in the area and have extensive knowledge of the resources available in the community. As a local vs. national EAP, our contract companies receive more personal and interactive services as they are afforded direct and easy access to our staff (no intermediary). This is especially helpful in emergency and crisis situations.
Customization
Our Center’s EAP is unique in offering a great deal of flexibility in structuring EAP services and purchase options to fit the individual needs of organizations. Rather than contracting for a full service EAP, we allow companies the opportunity to purchase any or all EAP services in total or in part, on a fee for service or capitated basis or a combination of both. We specialize in customized service.
Atmosphere
The Center is located in an upscale, professional atrium-like office park with a waterfall, lush vegetation and ample parking. We have uniquely decorated and furnished our offices to create a warm and welcoming environment where clients feel safe and comfortable. We have given special attention to designing a soothing and inviting waiting room understanding that clients may feel apprehensive or anxious especially on their first visit. To further attend to the emotional well-being of our clients, the Center has a female Maltese on staff. She is Certified as a Pet Therapy Dog by the American Humane Society.
Counseling
Because the Center is an Outpatient Mental Health facility as well as an EAP, clients who require on-going treatment have the option to continue therapy at the Center with their EAP clinician utilizing insurance benefits or on a fee-for-service basis.
